Most people don’t stay stuck because they’re lazy. They stay stuck because they’ve already paid so much to get where they are and walking away feels like admitting they were wrong. We get real about the sunk cost fallacy and how it quietly shows up in business, friendships, and even the way we spend our nights, our attention, and our energy.

We start with a simple poker-style example, then zoom out to the bigger stakes: the investments you keep making when the outcome is already clear. From side projects that should have been shelved to relationships that run on history instead of alignment, we talk through what it actually looks like to cut your losses without becoming cold. That leads into “signal to noise ratio,” trimming distractions, and the uncomfortable truth that some people only like you when they can benefit from you.

From there, we connect boundaries to fresh starts. Sometimes a move, a new environment, or a new circle makes it easier to live by higher standards because nobody is attached to the old version of you. We also go deeper on courage, deathbed perspective, and the idea that the graveyard is full of unrealized dreams. If you’ve ever wondered what you’d regret most, this conversation gives you a practical way to check yourself today.

We finish with purpose, family responsibility, and real-life steps like thinking through protection and estate planning with a will. If this hits home, subscribe, share it with a friend who needs a push, and leave a review so more people can find the show. What’s one “sunk cost” you’re ready to stop paying for?

What's up, guys? Welcome back to the Anthony Amers Show. Today we're gonna have a topic that's been top of mind for me that's been coming up in so many conversations I've been having people recently. That is sunk cost fallacy. What is it? How can it be applied in business and in your personal life? So, yeah, when I say sunk cost fallacy, what does that mean to you? I have no idea. Fallacy, false, fake, right?

Well, what else is the other one? Sunk cost. Sunk cost. Sunk going. Oh, is that together? It's sunk cost. So sunk is one word, and then cost. Sunk going down, cost, the cost of something, I'm assuming. But I don't understand the correlation between the three. Right. So sunk cost fallacy.

It's a psychology term to identify human behaviors about we believe we're invested in something so we don't know when to let things go. So poker is a great example. Playing poker, you're betting on a hand. Let's say the pot, you're put in 20 bucks, then you put in 40 bucks, and you're 60 bucks in, right? You know you don't have the best hand anywhere now that the top five cards are out. Someone bets another 20 bucks. When you say to yourself, What's another 20 bucks? And we're already 60 bucks in. That's some cost fallacy. Okay. Because you're like, I might as well put the other 20. I'm already halfway there. Because I'm already more than halfway in, so you put the 20, but now you're out 80 is. Well, you could have cut your losses. It's something we do day to day to day to day to day. It actually, we had this conversation earlier. We talked about the show in general, right? It's great to do, it's good to do, but there has to be some cost fallacy. I can't sit here and say for I put $100,000 into it and let's let it go a little longer, right? There has to be a cutoff. Correct. Because another dollar over there is another dollar over that, and I'm already out. Correct. Or maybe you started a business. Well, I've been doing the business for 20 years and I already spent this much money and time and effort into it. That's some cost fallacy. You have to know when to cut your losses.

That's pretty much, yes.

Okay. So what's something in your life that you've recently applied that principle to have noticed that you've fallen into that gap?

That I didn't stop yet. Like I didn't cut it, or I did it cut it. Either way. Um relationships that waste time for me. Explain. So I spend a lot of time on the phone with friends that, man, don't fall in line with my vision or my path rather, that I'm going down in life, just because they're friends. And I would utilize a lot of time just talking to them. But I know this is just a waste of time, I feel, you know. Um, I want to utilize my time uh better. Um, one thing Kevin O'Leary said that I really admire and I'm trying to align myself with is um the the the the uh theory of uh not theory, but the ideology about um uh noise to silence ratio. Do you understand? Signal to noise ratio. You understand what it is. The less noise, the more focused you are. Um and I'm just trying to distractions in life. Yeah, whatever. Like uh wait like what I'm doing, wasting time on the phone with friends and don't fall in line with my path and my goals, going to the bar, like just things that don't fall in line with your goals and dreams. And he was explaining how Steve Jobs has a very little, little noise. I think Elon and Elon Musk, the only one that had higher than Steve Jobs, he explained was Elon Musk, which I had, I think he said zero, just these numbers that he was putting out there. So I'm trying to fall in line with that and and and reduce the amount of noise I have in my life. And I think that falls under that category for me. So I, as of recently, maybe a few months back, like five months back, I cut it off. I cut 90% of the people that I would talk to on the phone, waste time with off. And now I'm just focused on uh my business, growing, surrounding myself with great people like you or clients that I actually genuinely have my heart involved in and want to actually help people grow. And I notice I'm happier doing it, you know? Uh yeah, and it worked for me. But that's something I couldn't hold myself accountable for because I kind of felt bad. Like, man, I gotta cut this guy off, but he's a nice guy, he's a good friend. But I noticed time would burn. I'm like, damn, I just spent an hour and a half on the phone with this guy, and I'm behind on the stuff I gotta do. And now me, I'm saying, oh, I didn't achieve this, this, this, is because I'm talking to this guy every day. He called me. You gotta step up to the plate and tell this guy, yo. And I told him. I told him, and as well as other people, I told him, like, yeah, just it's just I'm sorry. I can't, these are my goals, and I've noticed I'd use a lot of time talking, but all due respect. I'm still cool with you, I don't got a problem with you, but I just gotta trim it, man. Trim it in other words, other than technical. That didn't go well. Explain. Oh, we're getting deep on Anthony Davis show, boy. We're getting deep on Anthony Davis show. Um trying to see how to say it. Some some people took that as insulting. Basically, basically, me coming across like I'm better than them. Like, oh, who do you think you are? You think you're better than me now? What are you trying to say, man? I'm like, you know, so I had to talk to me. No, that's not what I mean. I'm just saying, like, it's not it's not a you thing, it's a me thing. I'm I'm trying to trim the noise in my life and the time that I use that I feel that is being wasted, that can be allocated in another area of my life to prosper and go further in life. And the conversations that you and I have are not conducive to my growth. So therefore, what I'm trying to say is I have to stop. I'm being very frank with you. Wouldn't you rather that than me be fake? I don't, it's not I have a problem with you. I just have to trim the time I am I allocate talking to you.

Yeah, you've known like that for 10 plus years. Yeah, that's true.

That was the hard part. That's the problem. Sunk, cost, foul. I should have cut my losses before. I didn't. I'm holding myself accountable for it. I didn't. But I'm also, those that know me know that I'm not a fake person. I'm real, man. If I don't like him, I'm gonna tell you, hey Anthony, I don't like what you did to me. You did this, this, this, and it was hurtful. And I think those are the best relationships. So I won't change that trait about me. Even though I should have cut my losses, I will never change that trait because I don't want to be around someone I dislike or don't want to be around. It's just it wasn't like you only live once. What's the point of me hanging around you? I don't want to be around you. What's the point of me having you in my life and I don't feel comfortable with you? I'm just gonna tell you, man. Anthony is what it is, bro. I just don't like it. Because of these reasons, take care. And that always helped me having that trait. And it's tough. It took a long time to muster that strength, but a lot didn't take it well. Specifically, one dude, if you're watching this, you know what I'm talking about. Still got love for you, man, but he didn't take it well. Most of them hung up the phone on me, which is crazy. Most just hung up. They just hung up. And uh, for the most part, it was four people, uh, five including the other dude I'm talking about. He didn't really take it well. The other three hung up, and one is still my friend today that I call every so often, hey, how you doing? And that's usually how adult conversations go now when you both chase you close up.

Didn't take it bad. Why did that go differently? Uh which it's almost at his name.

Jeff, shout out to my brother, my friend Jeff. Um I think, man, I'm gonna be honest with you. That's a good question. I like that. The reason he didn't take it bad, and I believe, um, man, I love this dude too, man. Jeff, shout out to you. The reason he didn't take it bad, and I said, hey, Jay, and it was, and I'm gonna be honest, it wasn't even like with him, it wasn't a conversation almost. It was almost like I think he was focused on his own goals, and he believes in me as much as I believe in him. He's doing his own thing and he's tracing his dream, and I'm doing my own thing, chasing his dream. And we call when we have time and we just talk. But if I have to go, he has to go. That's what it is. And that's one of my best friends. So I think he didn't take it bad because him and I fall our vision, our area, I guess our mindsets are aligned with I'm chasing my goal, you're chasing goal. I understand. You don't even have to voice it to me. I get it. You don't call me, it doesn't mean you and I don't, it's just like you and I. I don't talk to you every day. When I talk to you, it's all love. Hey, and how you doing? I'm good, man. And we catch up. We all we I know you got a family, you got stuff to do, I got stuff to do. Doesn't mean that we we don't like each other, whatever the case is. And I think that's where it is with him. It's having that conversation, being up front, and them believing in you and respecting you enough to respect your space and now I get it. Do your own thing. I'm gonna do mine too. It's almost like his happiness wasn't relying for it. That's what I'm trying to correct. He has his own happiness, but I'm happy for you. But I got my own happiness too. That's what I'm trying to say. Yes.

That relationship with hell, do you think after those conversations, is it better or worse? Oh, it's better now. Oh, it's way better now. So in the common sense, everything changed decisions, and the I think what's so interesting, when you start putting those like little boundaries up, yeah, you can really tell. Go ahead. I know who you say. It's for respects you and for is for you.

That's it. Because when you don't put those boundaries up, you don't know the snakes in the grass. There are people in your life that literally are only in your life because they benefit from you. The symbiotic relationship. They benefit from you, or parasitic rather. They are benefiting more than you are. So when you put the boundaries, or I can't suck your blood anymore, I can't use you the way I used to. They don't tell you that. But so who do you think you're using your better me now? Oh, you're moving to Florida, you got your house now, you think you're better than me. Is that you think you're better than your family? And these people, you think you're better than your cousin, and that's what they do. To shame you into going back and regressing and becoming the person that they want you to stay. That's the trick. But they won't tell you, I'm gonna be honest, I want to have a certain amount of control over you, and because you are now putting boundaries in your life, I can't have that control anymore. So it hurts. That's the honest truth. And in life, no one's gonna tell you that. So it's up to you to decipher that. That's the tough truth.

I just and people think frequency of seeing someone is dependent on how much you like them, which is so not true.

No, that's completely cadence.

Yeah, no, no, no, no. It's nothing to do with it. It's no point, like that's a fallacy that people live by. It's kind of something that they succumb to. Like when I noticed with those friends that I cut off in my life, I tried holding on to a couple, the ones that like helped, but they said everyone was just talking shit about me and they've actually stopped talking to me too. It's just like so funny when you like look at it, you're like, ah, they really didn't give a shit. You say, Andy, that's what happens when you elevate though. Like all of a sudden I put one little boundary at and then So give me give me an example of a boundary.

What boundary? Like what?

That you put in your life. The biggest one for like going back to that Man, I feel so stupid saying this out loud. Because it's so obvious. Saying in front of my girlfriend or that about other girls I slept with. Wait, weren't yeah. Like they wanna be they wanted to talk about other relationships I had in front of the girl I was currently dating. Oh no, no, no, no, that's not right. And I had to be okay with that. Your friend? Yeah. Oh man. I was like, no, this is no good. And you did it though. I cut I stopped it. I was like, this I went along with it. I was like, what the fuck am I doing? Yeah, yeah, yeah. I was like, I how old were you? 22?

Oh, yeah, baby, you're a baby. I mean, dude, a lot of us made mistakes. You gotta live and you learn, but that was a boundary for you.

But I learned that, yeah. Like it's just and I was yet again, but I've been friends with them so long.

That's what it is. So it becomes brothers and sisters, and it's like, well, we're friends, so and you go along.

But then you have to preserve the noise. Like it says signal verse noise, right? Yeah, and life's been so much better without it.

That's what I'm isn't that crazy. See, sometimes in life, the people you have in your life, you feel like, oh, it's gonna be difficult without them, things are gonna change. But once you get rid of certain people in your life, you realize how peaceful it becomes. And you'll see when you go to Florida. I don't know the situation you have here in New York or certain friends that maybe you don't, you know, fall in line with. But sometimes the the the bet the benefit of moving, man. My brother just moved too recently, and I'm so happy for him, and I'm gonna move soon too. The benefit of it, dude. Yeah, Anthony wants. I'll definitely come visit. But the benefit is buy your house. Uh they'll talk. The benefit is, yeah, listen. And Anthony's, I'm happy for you because it's nothing like that fresh start. No one knows you, no one's judging you, no one knows you. So you can remould yourself. Can I talk about this?

Yeah, I love this. Yeah. In business as in professional life, the a personal life, it's more one of the same. Okay. I'm gonna start with the business example because it's easier to understand, and then I'll portray it back to the personal example. Okay. If you have a culture of employees that lives up to a certain standard and you're not happy, it's fighting tooth and nail to change them. They fight about trying to get them to change, trying to get them to do follow maybe stricter criteria, etc. It's tough. But bringing someone new in and starting them at that is a hell of a lot easier. It's fresh. Yeah, they come in and they pick it up and they just go. And there's no pushback, they just think it's the norm. They get it's easy for them to understand. The same is true in your personal life. When you have people that didn't conform to any boundaries you have in your life, setting the boundaries is like this big hit in the face. Because they're used to something else. Correct. And they fight it and fight it and fight it and fight it. But new people coming in already respect those boundaries, and it's a lot easier to hop in and be like, you know that.

And that's why it's your job and our job and people at home to make sure every time you have someone new in your life, you keep moving the boundaries up and the ladder up. You keep moving it up because you learn from the previous relationships. Oh, I don't like this. I don't like the way this guy did it, I don't like the way this employee did this. Well, here's the boundaries for you. It's brand new, but I learned, so I'm gonna implement this. That's your job too. That's so you don't get treated the same. And the beautiful thing, again, the beautiful thing about moving, like you said, you get to remold yourself. You choose how you want to be represented in Florida, who you want to be friends with. No one's forcing, no one's controlling you. And I think sometimes people are afraid of change and they stay in the same situation because they're afraid of change. But if you can muster the strength to say, I'm not afraid anymore, I'm not embarrassed to fail. I'm going to start new. Man, life can be beautiful, man. And you'll see when you go to Florida, just how much freedom and just how how new you feel when you go there and you finally move in that on day one and your kids are running around the grass. It's like I'm I it's like a rebirth almost. Like, I'm this is new, man. And I get a chance to live the life I want. Sometimes growing up in the same environment in which our family or friends grew up in, they hold you to a certain degree, see you as a certain Anthony, and you're almost confined to that.

Yeah, they don't give you the opportunity to grow. To blossom, yeah. Right? You they want the version of you that they knew. That's that's it. They don't want the new version coming about, and they claim that it's for your benefit to stay that version. Nah, bro, I don't want to hear it. When realistically it's for your version to grow, it's like it's the marriage example all over again, right? Like, if I wanted the same version as Sarah 12 years ago and I keep comparing her to that, she's gonna resent me. I'm gonna resent her anytime. I want my wife to grow. My wife is growing, just as much as it's my job to grow with her. And as we stay married for a very long time, and as the years progress, we start growing closer and closer as we align our boundaries and our morals together and together and together. And that's how we grow as a couple, as opposed to one growing and look at this gap.

Yo, it's yo, ah, wish somebody was here to hear what he just did because I did the same thing recently. I said the thing about relationship, any relationship, if one party grows, the same thing he just did as I did at home. I said, one party grows and the other one uh stays in the same level, what do you notice is happening? You grow apart. The goal is for both of us to grow together. So if you're not, I'm if I'm moving to Florida, Georgia, Los Angeles, wherever I'm moving, and you don't respect that and respect my new boundaries that I'm implementing in my life, guess what's going to happen? We're gonna grow apart. So see how you can hold yourself accountable and thank you. See how you can hold yourself accountable and how you can apply this to your own life with just ask yourself these questions. Do you think it's time for you to move? Do you think it's time for you to uh cut certain people out of your life? Do you think it's time to remove yourself from other people's lives? These are a lot of questions we need to ask ourselves, and a lot of the times why we may be unhappy with our lives is because there's certain people in it that are still micromanaging it or controlling it to a certain degree, but we're too afraid to face that and confront it. You gotta ask yourself these questions, man. Block out the noise. Ask yourself these questions because in the end, your happiness is all that matters. Your happiness, you, you individually.

Yeah, I mean I couldn't disagree more. You said disagree. I'm agree more, sorry. Couldn't agree more. It's like it's so much easier said than done. I'm not gonna sit here and both. For sure, for sure. Having those conversations must have been hard.

Oh, with the people that was calling? Yeah. Oh, no, that wasn't easy. Bro, I was holding the phone, yo. All right, let's figure out. I was holding the phone sitting there, like, ah, this is gonna be a tough. You didn't want to press the number because you don't know how the person's gonna react to it. The what made me finally press call is my I love myself more. I said, Yeah, bro, it's hurting me. These people, I got kids, I got a family. I started thinking in that frame of mind, like, this is for my kids, not just for me. I have to focus and hustle. These people keep calling me every day. Y'all, if you don't stop it, I'm basically getting stepped over. Like I'm getting stepped on. No, I can't hang out. No, I don't want to come here and here. This guy, hey y'all, you want to come watch the what was it? I think there's some football game that went, yeah, we're going to the football game. No, no, I got clients, I got to focus, I'm trying to grow, man. And I said, be just be honest. Press call. And I pressed it. So the the determining factor that made me press it is how much do you love yourself? And if you love yourself enough, Anthony, if you love your family enough, you love those two kids enough, you will find that strength to say no. There's a there's a lot of power in those two uh two letters, man. And oh, if you can say no, man, your life can change. The problem is a lot of us say yes and it changes for the worse. You have to find it in you to say, I am going to stand up and say no. No for me, no for Sarah, and no for my two kids.

Well, that's that aligns back to something we talked about a while ago, and I just think I've just been obsessing over this so much because I love this in field, I've been learning so much about it. Some costality, like we originally talked about, right? The ability to walk away. Yeah. Boundaries, the ability to set have those conversations. Telling people no, and to protect your yourself. They all have one thing in common. Okay? Just one.

Without it. With a C?

Yeah.

Oh come on, we say it all the time, guys. Put it in comments below.

You have to have the courage. That's it. That's the hardest part. And that's why strength. I've talked about like Socrates and Aristotle, and we were talking thousands of years ago. Philosophy all said we all have morals, but without the moral, which is courage, which is courage, nothing else matters. Because if you don't have the courage, for one of my values is accountability. I don't have the courage to be accountable. I can never be accountable. Another one of mine is authenticity. If I don't have the courage to be authentic, then I'll not be authentic. It it all relates. You need to have the courage, and that courage comes from standing up for the person you should stand up for at the end of the day, because you live with that person 24-7. It is yourself. This is where you live. This person is never leaving you. Ever. You are stuck with them until the day you die. And some people believe even after you die. So why not stand up for that person inside there? And that's why I truly believe when they interview people on the deathbed and they get these surveys and they talk about it. It's the biggest thing they regret. Hey, Andy.

Do you know where the do you know where the wealthiest place in the world is? Wealthiest place in the world is the graveyard. So many dreams died there. And speaking of courage made me remember that. I was going on a run yesterday. Um, and I was literally I was listening to motivational like speeches and stuff, and the guy said, Did you know the wealthiest place in the grave the wealthiest place in the world? And everybody, the audience said no. And he said, The graveyard. Gave me chills, man. I said, Wow. So many dreams never erected there, so many problems have never been solved, and you die. But those that have the courage while living to solve these problems, to go after their dreams, die one empty. Can I ask you a hard question?

So like this question. Are you afraid of dying?

I used to be not anymore. Why? Why I used to be? Why are you not afraid of dying? Because now I'm giving it my own, I'm not leaving anything behind. Before I was because I guess you could a mixture of being young-minded and not knowing what I really was my purpose, really. Like when I was younger, I didn't really know my purpose. I was figuring out, so I was kind of scared because I was I enjoy life. I like being live, obviously, but I'm like, I just didn't, I feel like I don't know what I'm supposed to do. I'm not accomplishing as much as I'm supposed to be accomplishing. But once you once you you you you you as you can see your trajectory based on what you're doing today, and you know your purpose and you're driven, there's no fear. I just feel like I'm running out of time and I gotta work harder and faster to get to the set my kids up before I leave. That's it. So my fear is I'm running out of time, but I do not fear dying because I'm on the right path and I know I There's a clear path. I know what I want. I know what I'm doing. It's to tell stories and move the world. And that's what I want to do. And give back to people through doing that. That's my purpose. I know it now. Do you think about dying a lot? Nah, man. Not anymore. Not like I used to. I think the more you think about dying, oh I mean, this is just my opinion. Those that think about dying a lot usually are those that have not found their purpose. Disagree. Why? That I disagree with. Now tell me why.

I'll tell you why. I tell you, tell me why. I used to never think about dying. Now I think about dying all the fucking time. Why is that? Because I love not it's not a cynical way. I think about myself in my deathbed. Okay. And I I like reflecting and I look at myself there and I go, okay, I'm dying. I'm not making it another few more hours. What did I not do, or what am I not doing right now that that person will regret? And then I go do that thing. It just puts everything into perspective for me. It's like, and then what am I focusing on that on my deathbed is not going to be relevant? That's fire. That's fire. That's fire, bro. And I'm not afraid of dying at all. I've not like I've Yeah, but that's what I was answering. I've always accepted the fact I'm not afraid of dying at all. The only thing I'm ever afraid of, which kind of only happened after kids, is like leaving them in another way.

That's the fear. That's what I'm saying. But yeah, that's what I was answering.

I'll eventually get there. I think this is where self-enlightenment comes in. Like as you work up uh the chain. Yeah. If you look at fear and I say, my fear is what? My fear is that my wife and kids aren't gonna be okay with that.

That's my fear, yes.

Right? Think about that. Take that thought. Now I'm projecting onto my wife and kids that they don't have the courage, the means to get by without me. And I yes. Think about it. That's where that fear comes. You're you're putting the I'm afraid they're not gonna be able to do XYZ without me.

Because you're not setting the foundation, because you're afraid the foundation's not gonna be set from what you're supposed to do as a man. That is where it's coming from, but not them being incapable of doing it.

But a lot, I think a lot of that comes from that. Like I I think I could take, like my wife and I, right? Being together, we're we're both individually happy, and we've talked about this, and then we bring our happiness up being together. But I know she's inherently individually happy, and I know she could figure it out without me. But I can amplify her life, I can amplify my kids' lives. Definitely. I know that, and I want that. But if I die at first, I feel like I'll be and I'm not there yet, but I want to get there. It's like I feel like right now I'm afraid they're gonna so much is gonna happen. What if, what if no man, I I gotta trust. Oh, I see what you say. Okay, I'll just figure it out without me. Like I it's not fair to tell her. Oh, okay. But I'm saying she's incompetent now. I'm basically telling her she's incompetent. Yeah, which isn't true, correct.

But when you really think of indirectly, yeah, it comes across indirectly though. Correct. Now I understand you. Yes, because yeah, that's it. I got it. Without me, therefore, you're incapable of doing X, Y, Z. So therefore, you shouldn't have any fear because you selected the correct person. Now I caught it. Now I got you. So then, hey, actually guys at home, married men, boyfriends, whatever, ask yourself this, Anthony. Answer this. Is the the question becomes is it your job to set her up before you leave and teach her certain things as a man? As a married man, is it your job to make sure she's good? If you walk away right now, can she live the same lifestyle and excel on the same path that you were headed to? If you if you you were to pass what God forbid, pass away. If the answer is no, you don't have to answer. Young guys, yeah. No, the honest answer is I don't know. You don't know.

But you would that but I have to be okay with that. But you still want her to live a good one, of course. But if I get hit by a truck and die and I have no say in the matter, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Right. You have to trust. I have to trust her. Like she would have to trust me. But that's why you get married, and like that's why you have that relationship. It's like I work as much as I work to do the handle the financial aspect and everything. Because I, and this is true as of right now. And I told Sarah this actually yesterday because we went on a date. I like reminding her of this. I trust her to raise our kids. That's fire. Fullheartedly. Fire. Like there's no one in the world I would trust more, actually. It's the mom. Right? It's the mom. If there's anyone I had to pick, it would be her to raise those kids. I don't want daycare. I don't want babysit. If you have to, you have to do it. But for me, you rather I want my wife to raise my kids because that is the person I trust above everyone else. And I will work triple the hours to make sure that she can do it. My wife can raise my kids because if everyone, even above myself, I know she'll do a good job. Wow. How about providing?

Right?

As a man, I think I should provide. No, no. Meaning, do you think right now she has the capability without you, God forbid, you were to pass away. I think she'll figure it out. Okay, but do you think there's more you can do in terms of teaching or whatever you can do to help her be like just in case I do believe, y'all, there's something I can do, and I'm gonna start doing it to make sure she's good. God forbid something.

There you go.

That'd be that's that's what I'm saying, right?

We've will signed. Oh wow. I wanted to make sure we had kids. Like, let's get a will. Because like I want to make sure everything goes to her at the end of the day. It was worth it. It was a lot of money, Will. Really?

I didn't know that.

But getting one set up so I can make sure my wife is set up. Fire, bro. Gives me that little peace of mind. It's fire. I know something happens to me. My kids, my wife, they're they're okay. They got something.

Also, use trade then. I mean, and not everyone has it set up like he does, but this is this is an eye-opener, right? You you should think about setting up a will for those entrepreneurs out there. It doesn't have to be now, it could be later on, but you have to start thinking in the frame of mind that if I am not here, if something were to happen to me, would my wife and kids be okay? And I think that is altruistic. You have to be selfless. You can't be and just thinking of yourself as selfish.

You have to be altruistic. Thoughts about this. Such thing as true altruism? Yeah. 100%.

Right.

I'm setting my wife up, right? Let's say I'm giving her everything. If I die, et cetera. Yeah. But am I doing that to make me feel good?

Oh God, if he's going back. Yeah, all right. I mean of doing that to solve a problem I have, which is the fear that she's not gonna be okay. Yes, there's selfishness in everything, but at the same time. I know that's a philosophy to be. Yeah, that's why I was like, he did this before, guys. Yeah. But you get it. Uh, it's something to think about, though. No, no. Because I think there's always more you can do while you're here, and you do it. You all you can do is try your best, man.

Take it one day at a time. What's that biggest fear? What's the thing you're thinking about in your deathbed? Are you giving into things just because you've done it for so long? When you know to cut ties in either financial decisions or relationships or anything associated with that, where do you have that some cost fallacy involved in your life? And then how can you use the biggest value, that being courage, in order to stand up for the person you will live with the day you die? That is yourself. 21st 7 you're stuck with that person, maybe even after. So align yourself with how you feel. So on your deathbed, you do not regret. Exactly. You do not say, I did wish I did XYZ. You go do those things. Yep. And make sure that even applies to having the courage to die deep. That one was deep. Yeah. Well, that one was. So, what do you have to do? So if you did die, you can say, I'm okay. They're okay.

I like that, bro. And not just that, but lastly, yeah, he said it. What would you regret on your deathbed? Do that today. And I'm gonna adopt that mentality. Funny, I thought about that. Yes, two to three days ago when I was somewhere. I should be willing to, and this is a side of I should be able to, I should be willing to walk into any business or speak to anyone and offer my services without fear of failure. So I'm driving yesterday. I see a real estate agent's number in his face that I pick up my phone, called him, and tried to close the deal right there. And I said, just give it a shot. What's the worst gonna happen is no. And Alex Harmony said that. I forgot how he framed it, don't quote me, but the ones that win are the ones that are not afraid to fail several times, thousands of times. Those are the ones you may not be better than the next guy, but if you are willing to fail more than he is, you'll beat him. And that thing popped in my head, and that's why I called that number. So it's the same thing. I just don't want to go to my deathbed with any regrets, and I want to die on empty. Give everything I got. It's not, it's easier said than done, but all you can do is try, man.
