I took a more solemn tone to this one. I wanted it to reflect how we feel when we write diaries and journals.

Dear Diary, 
Is about my personal story on how I use to be picked on a lot growing up.  I never could get myself to blend into the crowd.  I struggled with depression and I always blamed myself for not fitting in.

I did, however, realize that life isn't about blending in.  I realized that by blending in, we actually stop growing into who we are suppose to be. So instead, it is important for us to stand out.  
That realization has made me who I am today.  I am a leader and not a follower
